Single-source harvest selection
We source certified organic botanicals during peak seasonal harvest directly from regional growers we know by name.
We founded Fernway in 2016 to offer an honest alternative for reactive skin: small batches of 200 jars, whole botanical extracts, and every farm origin printed on the label.
We began Fernway because commercial skincare felt like a race to the lowest production cost and the loudest marketing campaign. For reactive skin, that meant complex preservative systems, undisclosed aroma chemicals, and active botanicals diluted down to fraction percentages.
We chose the opposite path: formulate in runs of 200 jars or fewer, buy whole botanicals directly from regional growers, steep at room temperature for weeks, and print every farm coordinate on the front label.
From dried blossom to sealed amber glass, each remedy follows a deliberate, unhurried routine.
We source certified organic botanicals during peak seasonal harvest directly from regional growers we know by name.
Whole flowers steep in cold-pressed carrier oils for four weeks, extracting delicate herbal compounds without destructive heat.
Each run of 200 jars is hand-poured, hand-labeled with batch number and farm coordinates, and stored in light-protective amber glass.
Every formulation is designed from scratch, steeped at ambient temperature, and poured by hand without shortcuts.
Small production runs prevent active plant lipids from sitting in hot warehouses. Every jar reaches you fresh from our Portland studio.
We buy directly from Pacific Northwest and certified organic growers, listing each farm name and harvest region on every bottle.
We reject artificial aromas, petrochemical stabilizers, and undisclosed preservatives. Our recipes stay lean and gentle on sensitive skin.
